With mindful awareness, we can examine what works and what doesn’t work in your life
or in your relationship and what can be done to help change it. Whether you are struggling
with anxiety or depression, couples or marital problems, intimacy and sexuality concerns,
recovery from addiction and 12-Step work, we can work together to find what constraints
are keeping you feeling stuck and how to move beyond them or to help them loosen
their hold on you.
Mindfulness and Psychotherapy work together to help people overcome their problems.
For people struggling with trauma, marriage counseling, addictions recovery, anxiety,
depression, obsessions and compulsions, self-esteem, assertiveness or intimacy we
can work together to help find meaning in your life
You are the expert in your life. Your goals, dreams and aspirations are your own.
My goal is to help you move in the direction you want to move. By learning about
your values and perspective, together we can identify goals and direction and the
most effective way of working together.
Therapy that is ...
People often come to therapy feeling embarrassed or inadequate with their inner-critic
complaining they should not be having problems. Everyone has problems, and it’s not
easy to change. Our habit patterns are developed over years and can even be said
to span back generations as we have learned from what our parents and grandparents
learned. Our conditioning begins before we were born.
At the core of change is the need to have helpful partner and guide. A good relationship
with a trusting other is essential to successfully being able to speak aloud what
is too often kept quiet and secret; to experience support where in the past there
was none; to experience continuity and trust where skillful risks can take place
and mistakes can be made without fear of reprisal, betrayal or abandonment. With
me, you will treated ethically and regarded with dignity out of respect for your
boundaries and the vulnerability that is bound to arise during the therapeutic process.
