People often come to therapy feeling embarrassed or inadequate with their inner-critic complaining they should not be having problems. Everyone has problems, and it’s not easy to change. Our habit patterns are developed over years and can even be said to span back generations as we have learned from what our parents and grandparents learned. Our conditioning begins before we were born.
At the core of change is the need to have helpful partner and guide. A good relationship with a trusting other is essential to successfully being able to speak aloud what is too often kept quiet and secret; to experience support where in the past there was none; to experience continuity and trust where skillful risks can take place and mistakes can be made without fear of reprisal, betrayal or abandonment. With me, you will treated ethically and regarded with dignity out of respect for your boundaries and the vulnerability that is bound to arise during the therapeutic process.
